So, I was asked to offer my opinion and judge two types of photographs supplied from a photo booth setup. Photo booths have become very popular over the last couple of years and I have seen my fair share of good and bad setups. Not all suppliers are the same and it really pays to look into the final product that you will be receiving. Just to be clear the following photos are not mine they have been supplied to me by Elegant Hire. I also do not offer photo booth services but I can recommend some fabulous suppliers.
Of the four photos supplied I’m really drawn to the red backdrop. They are bright and vibrant and you know how much I love my colour! The red gives you a a feeling of luxury, almost a sense of red carpet celebrity status and who doesn’t want that for their wedding. The lighting is very even however just a little bright on the highlights. The same also applies for the white background the light is a little too harsh blowing out the whites. Also what I dislike with the white background is the white balance, it is off and the guests look washed out and pasty with stronger shadows from the harsh lighting. As you can see above the lighting is softer and wraps around the subjects better, creating a softer shadow.
So there you have it folks just something to keep in mind when shopping around for your photo booth supplier, and don’t forget to ask about those props!
